Our college established in 1935 as Wasudeo Arts College at Wardha.
Department of Marathi is Establishment in 1935 with B.A. (Compulsory Marathi & Marathi Literature)
In 1942, the college was shifted to Nagpur and named as National College.
In 1949, Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati took over the college, when it was on the verge of closure.
In 1951, Shrimant Dadasaheb Dhanwate donated sumptuously to the society and the college was named as “Dhanwate National College”
M.A. (Marathi) is started in 2001.
Marathi Department has generated various luminaries in education, social, political, judiciary, sports, bureaucracy, cultural etc.
The department of Marathi has legacy of renowned teachers in Marathi.
