Philosophy
About Department
Our College was established in 1935 as Wasudeo Arts College at Wardha.
In 1942, the college was shifted to Nagpur and as National College.
In 1949, Shivaji Education Society, Amravati took over the college, When it was on the verge of closure.
In1951, Shrimant Dadasahed Dhanwate donated sumptuously to the society, and the college was named “DHANWATE NATIONAL COLLEGE”.
In 1954 Arts Philosophy faculty was started. For the first time in the history of Nagpur University, Dhanwate National College had started BA Art’s PHILOSOPHY Marathi medium.
The department runs short-term certificate courses in the Basics of philosophy subject.
Our department has generated various luminaries in the fields of education, society, politics, judiciary, sports, bureaucracy, culture, etc.
Our department also has a good academic record of Meritorious Students from the University every year.
