About Department
Our college established in 1935 as Wasudeo Arts College at Wardha .
Department of Political Science is Establishment in 1935 with B.A. (Political Science )
In 1942, the college was shifted to Nagpur and named as National College.
In 1949, Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati took over the college, when it was on the verge of closure.
In 1951, Shrimant Dadasaheb Dhanwate donated sumptuously to the society and the college was named as “Dhanwate National College”
POLITICAL SCIENCE Department has generated various luminaries in education, social, political, judiciary, sports, bureaucracy, cultural etc.
The department of Political Science has legacy of renowned teachers in Political sciennce
Prof. G. M. Somwanshi, became the Principal of Shivaji college, Akot and Secretary of Shri. Shivaji Education Society,Amaravati.
Prof. Nemawarkar had rendered service up to retirement.

Prof. R. M. Gopal had taken reins of the department shouldered the responsibility of the department for three years from 1996 to 1999
