Dr. Prashant P. Kothe, serves as the Principal of Dhanwate National College (DNC) in Nagpur, Maharashtra. He holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in History, along with M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees, showcasing his deep academic expertise. A recognized research supervisor at Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University and Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Dr. Kothe has made significant contributions to the field of history and higher education.
With an impressive academic record, he has attended over 50 conferences and has published more than 50 research papers at national, international, and state-level conferences. His scholarly contributions include three authored books and five edited volumes. He is also an active member of several academic and professional bodies, further solidifying his influence in the academic community.
Dr. Kothe has been recognized for his leadership and service, including receiving prestigious awards and distinctions, notably as an NCC Captain. Under his guidance, DNC has reached new heights, securing a ₹5 crore grant under the PM-USHA 3.0 initiative to strengthen colleges, promote research, and enhance academic excellence.
Beyond academics, Dr. Kothe is a strong advocate for sports and extracurricular activities. He proudly congratulated the college’s basketball team for winning the title in the Inter-Collegiate Udghosh Basketball Tournament, acknowledging their teamwork and dedication. Additionally, he recognized gymnast Rahinya Gulhane for securing a silver medal in the Sub-Junior Tumbling Finals at the 19th Trampoline and Tumbling State Championships, reflecting the institution's commitment to nurturing young talent.
